Roadmap

What exists now, what is being built, and what is not available yet.

PlannedDescribed to intent. Not yet implemented in code.

This page is intentionally date-free. If something does not have a committed release, we will not imply one.

Available Now

  • Organizations, teams, and roles for teams running agent work together.
  • Git-backed routes and policies for declaring what starts work, what an agent may touch, and who approves risky steps.
  • GitHub and Slack launch paths for starting work, publishing PRs, sending completion messages, and keeping receipts.
  • Self-hosted vpd workers for teams that want execution on their own machines or infrastructure.
  • Run detail, audit, receipts, and review packets so the team can see what happened and why.

Coming Soon

  • Viewport-managed cloud runners for teams that do not want to operate their own worker.
  • Provider key brokering and spend controls so model access, tool access, and budget limits are enforced from one place.
  • Billing limits and managed-runner pass-through controls for paid pilot workspaces.
  • Expanded provider setup for Linear and Jira launch paths.
  • A more complete API reference and downloadable API client collections for teams building around Viewport.

Later

  • Native iOS app + push notifications. The responsive web app and Slack are the launch approval channels.
  • SSO (SAML / OIDC) and SCIM provisioning. WorkOS/AuthKit is the current identity path; enterprise provisioning is later.
  • Public Helm chart for full control-plane self-host. Self-hosting is a product direction, but public packaging is not part of the current launch.
  • Customer-managed encryption keys (CMEK) for vault encryption.
  • Org-bound API tokens that don't require explicit X-Viewport-Organization per request.
  • Cross-org workflow export/import for sharing templates between orgs.
  • Audit log streaming (Splunk HEC, Datadog Logs, S3 with KMS).

Not active

  • HSM/TPM-backed daemon keys. Designed, not prioritized.
  • Schema-per-tenant DB isolation. Possible, but not built.
  • Air-gapped daemon operation. Local-only mode without relay connectivity is not available.
  • Native Android app. Not active.
  • Public plugin SDK for bringing your own agent. Adapter shape is stable; SDK packaging is the work.

What you can influence

We choose work by:

  • Pilot customer commitments (50%).
  • Inbound demand we can attribute to specific features (30%).
  • Engineering quality / debt (20%).

If something here matters to your team, tell us. We re-prioritize based on customer need. Small things move fast; bigger platform work needs design partners.
